COMMUNITY SPACE COORDINATOR

The Community Space Partnership is an organisation made up of eight Refugee, BME and Migrant Community Organisations in Newport, who are working in collaboration to achieve their individual goals. The Community Space Partnership has secured funding for the joint use of a building and is currently looking for a coordinator. The coordinator will be responsible for the management of the building and coordination of activities; ensuring effective communication between the groups and with outside agencies, and be expected to work to secure external funding.

This job is offered on a fixed term of 3 years.

Be qualified to a QCF/NVQ L3-Health and social care for chidren or willing to work twards this qualification.

Senior Lecturer in International Migration

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Lecturer in International Migration within the Department of Geography and the Centre for Migration Policy Research in the College of Science, reference 5743.

In the latest UK Research Assessment Exercise (RAE 2008), 95% of the Department’s research was judged to be of international quality, 60% was regarded as world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*), and International Migration was identified as an area of world-class activity.

The post holder will be an integral part of the Department of Geography and Swansea University’s Centre for Migration Policy Research (CMPR). The Centre is hosted by the Department and Directed by Heaven Crawley, Professor of International Migration. Information about CMPR can be found at www.swansea.ac.uk/cmpr

The post holder will have a strong publication record, evidence of sustained policy engagement, and a proven capacity to secure research funding. The successful applicant will also have demonstrated a commitment to high-quality teaching at all levels, and a vibrant and superb student experience.
